How To Differentiate Different Sensors

· rfid system,photoelectric sensor

Manufacturing businesses have been improving when it comes to their inventories and logistics management as years go by. Thanks to the continuous improvement of Radio Frequency Identification or RFID system, which is also now in the food industry and health technologies.

Many establishments use the RFID system, and it only differs on the sensors they use. Here are some of them:

VISION SENSOR

Vision sensor helps in the accuracy of data during sorting, quality control, and label inspecting. The scans could be electronic or manual programming, which uses a camera. It also detects holed parts, missing products, and scratched items.

POSITIONING SENSOR

The positioning sensor gives the location or position of an object based on the reference point. It has different types that also plays a role in any business.

Inductive, fibre-optic, optical, and potentiometric are some of the positioning sensors available.

CAPACITIVE PROXIMITY SENSOR

A capacitive sensor checks the proximity of an object. It is common in the manufacturing industry during an inspection. It is a tool used for food processing, printing, and packaging.

A capacitive proximity sensor detects materials whether it is in liquid, solid, or powder form. It has unlimited abilities, including glass monitoring and tank level detection.

ROTARY ENCODER

Rotary encoder detects the object through speed using incremental, tachometer, and absolute encoder. The sensing features are resolution and speed capability.

Resolution counts the position of an encoder, while speed capability records mechanical speed per minute. Its basis is the frequency response.

PHOTOELECTRIC SENSOR

Photoelectric sensors work through light sensitivity, and some indications or signals are from light changes, infrared, and ultraviolet. It detects objects, colours, and movements, making it popular in the manufacturing and food industries.
